NCSU SCHOOL OF MUSIC

This project is a proposal for the North Carolina University School of Music. Currently located in the basement of Tally Student Union, the current spaces are unfit for the, "Sound of the South," with poor daylighting, minimal performance spaces, and lack of interaction with the rest of campus. This project aims to create a connection between the School of Music and the rest of campus by celebrating the music and putting it on display for everyone. 

The scheme revolves around a glassy open atrium with a performance stage and a breezeway for students, and a tiered program element along the back housing the rehearsal studios, classrooms, offices and lab spaces.
